Zizzi names Yonder Media for UK-wide media planning and buying

Zizzi appoints Yonder Media - mediashotz

Zizzi, the Italian restaurant with a twist, has appointed Yonder Media for a test and learn brand campaign as the country once more begins to embrace eating out.

The appointment was made without a competitive pitch. Yonder Media will report to Rachel Hendry, Zizzi’s Marketing Director.

Zizzi campaign

The first work breaks on TV and radio in November and includes spot advertising developed by creative agency Studio Juice and in partnership with some of radio’s most loved names.

It is aimed at an audience of 16- to 34-year-olds and will position Zizzi as the go-to choice for an Italian meal with a difference  with a good time for all guaranteed.

The campaign coincides with the launch of a new Zizzi menu, which brings different flavours to the table.

The brand’s restaurants are also in the process of being transformed  using designs which maintain their modern rustic feeling while adding a modern twist.

Zizzi’s investment in test and learn media is its first major marketing push since the company was founded over 20 years ago in Chiswick, London.

Previous efforts have focused on social media, which continues to be a key focus

Ed Cox, Founder of Yonder, said: “Casual dining restaurants don’t tend to advertise on the whole, but the new owners at Zizzi are progressive and committed to trialling using media to build the Zizzi brand to ensure its success in the short and the long term.

“The hospitality sector has had a torrid time over the last 18 months and we’re proud to play a part in boosting this part of the economy.”

Rachel Hendry, Marketing Director at Zizzi, said: “As well as being impressed by Yonder’s work for other brands, the group’s audience-first thinking chimed with Zizzi’s own approach to customer communications.

“The result is a test and learn campaign which we think will make Zizzi stand out in a crowded, dynamic marketplace while ensuring our long-standing fans know the experience they love is still here.”
