SuperHeroes appoints AI creative specialist Quim Español as Creative Director

Independent creative agency, SuperHeroes, has appointed Quim Español as Creative Director, strengthening its creative leadership ranks and further embedding AI within its creative process.

Reporting to Django Weisz Blanchetta, CEO at SuperHeroes, Español will work across a range of projects and clients, including work connected to JIMMY, the agency’s talent management platform representing CGI and AI creators.

In his new role, Español will work with both clients and internal teams to explore new opportunities at the intersection of AI and creativity.

Español brings extensive experience across creativity, technology and AI, having previously held roles including Associate Creative Director at adidas, Creative Director at Monks and Partner Creative Director at CAAPSAI.

Throughout his career, Español has worked with brands including adidas, Nike, Philips, KLM, Tommy Hilfiger, Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda, Bombay Sapphire, Smirnoff and Nivea. His earlier career includes roles as an Art Director at AKQA and Concept Creative at Proximity Barcelona, as well as experience as a motion designer in the TV industry.

His work has been recognised at awards including El Sol, Club de Creativos, the Dutch Interactive Awards, Echo Awards and Cannes Lions. In 2012, he also won the Digital Young Lions competition representing Spain.
