Integrated creative agency Wunderman Thompson said it has expanded its Village Marketing coverage and named Beth Carroll (right, main pic) as its Head of Social.

The announcement comes as Wunderman Thompson is set to launch a new and transformative approach to social media.

Moving on from traditional B2C or B2B thinking, the agency will focus on social that drives H2H – human-to-human conversations.

This involves combining the agency’s paid, organic, editorial content and production capabilities with influencer management, data analytics and commerce.

Following the acquisition of Village Marketing in North America in 2022, Village has expanded its footprint further across EMEA out of the London hub.

Founded by Vickie Segar, Village is an industry leader in influencer marketing and creator economy partnerships working with the likes of Nike, Netflix and Soul Cycle.

Also home to proprietary social listening tools such as Chatter, which allows brands to identify how people are talking about them, through competitor analysis and real-time insights into cultural relevance and trends.

Sitting at the heart of Wunderman Thompson’s whole brand thinking approach, the new social offering will stimulate human-to-human interactions that get people talking, which is central to the agency’s creative philosophy.
