Louis started in her new role last week.
She will be responsible for growing and enhancing WPP’s DEI, Talent Management, Talent Development and Talent Acquisition strategies across the organisation, the London-listed global agency said.
She will oversee global initiatives to foster a workplace environment grounded in inclusion, equity, belonging, growth, development, engagement, accountability, and in line in with the company’s racial equity commitments announced in June 2020.
Louis will also act as strategic advisor on global DEI strategy to WPP’s leadership team.
Named by Comparably as one of 50 Impactful DE&I Leaders Driving Change, Louis brings a wealth of experience to WPP having led talent acquisition and inclusion efforts at some of the world’s best-known companies.
She joins WPP from WeWork where she held a similar role and led global teams responsible for talent acquisition, talent management, employee experience and recognition, talent operations and employer brand.
Prior to WeWork, Louis was Vice President, Head of Global Leadership Talent at L Brands, where she was recruited to establish and lead the company’s efforts to recruit executive, leadership-level talent.

“With a wealth of experience fostering inclusive cultures that attract the very best talent, LJ is the perfect partner to help us on our journey to unlock the creative potential in every WPP employee.”
LJ Louis said: “WPP is an industry-leading organisation with some of the most creative minds from around the world.
“I am thrilled to be joining Jennifer and the rest of the team to support WPP’s commitment to embed DE&I into everything they do – from hiring through to retention and growth.
“Advancing diversity and equity should be at the forefront of strategy for all companies, and I look forward to joining WPP as it takes crucial steps to achieve this.”
Mark Read, CEO of WPP, added: “I’m delighted to welcome LJ to integrate our DE&I and talent strategy, alongside Jennifer.
“LJ has a remarkable track record of driving successful talent acquisition strategies and initiatives in the DE&I space.
“I’m confident LJ will play a pivotal role in helping us build better futures for our people, clients and communities.”
