Memorable extracts from The Queen’s Message to the Nation are appearing on the world famous Piccadilly Lights in London over the coming days.
Expressions of support and inspiration from The Queen are being carried on the Piccadilly Circus screen from April 7-19.
Queen’s Piccadilly debut
It is the first time the digital screen has carried a direct message from Her Majesty The Queen.
Following an agreement with Buckingham Palace, three uplifting messages are accompanied by a photograph of The Queen. The images were taken at Windsor Castle as she recorded her speech, and were provided by PA Media.
“We will meet again”
They include the words “we will meet again”, something which resonated with people and echoed the words of Dame Vera Lynn’s wartime anthem.

Another message thanks everyone on the NHS frontline, care workers and those carrying out essential roles.
Each message appears on the screen in full domination and does not appear with any other advertising.
The Piccadilly Lights is owned by Landsec.
Message of support
“We’re proud to be sharing the Queen’s message of support for the nation on Piccadilly Lights”, Landsec Commercial Media Manager Derek Manns said.
“We hope it will provide some light for Londoners as we continue to work through these unprecedented times.”
Richard Malton, CMO of Ocean Outdoor, which operates the Lights on behalf of Landsec, said: “The Queen’s address to the nation was inspirational and reassuring.
“Her Majesty the Queen is London’s most famous resident, where better to extend her message to Londoners than Piccadilly Lights.
“It has been an honour working with the Palace to make this happen.”
About 24 million people watched Sunday evening’s TV broadcasts.
It was only the fifth time the Queen has given such a speech in her 68 year reign.
