In addition to her focus on developing and growing the agency’s culture globally, Cumming will now have a broader People & Culture remit and will work with P&C leadership to build a cohesive network across all 15 international offices, and update the agency’s global P&C strategy for the post-Covid era.

She will also continue to lead the agency’s internal comms function, supported by global communications manager Ryan Dubras and global projects & operations coordinator Bev Collins, both of whom took on these new roles last year.

Cumming will report to We Are Social’s co-founder and group CEO Nathan McDonald, and will represent the Global People & Culture function as part of the agency’s global leadership team.

She previously held the role of global people & culture communications director.

Nathan McDonald, co-founder and group CEO, We Are Social, said: “In the eight years that Emma has been with us, she has built a hugely successful Internal Comms function and has become a valuable part of our global leadership team, often delivering complex cross-market initiatives across several timezones.

“Her collaborative spirit, positive energy, and passion for our business – and the people within it, as well as her professionalism and commitment to doing the best job possible, means that this promotion is well-deserved indeed.”
