VIDEO: ITV releases promo for new daytime schedule

With Christmas and New Year out of the way, ITV is limbering up to kick off the new decade with a new schedule and it’s released a promo film to get the message out there.

So are you ready for a relay?

Susanna Reid starts the relay as GMB, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women get ready to pass the baton from one live show to the next from January 6th.

ITV daytime sprint

The promo starts with presenter Reid sitting at the Good Morning Britain desk with Piers Morgan before sprinting to the Lorraine studio with a gold baton in her hand.

From Monday, Good Morning Britain will be half an hour longer, from 6 until 9am with its top mix of presenters across the week and bringing all the breaking news, latest showbiz stories and exclusive interviews each and every week day morning.

In the promo, Lorraine Kelly is then seen throwing the baton to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield at This Morning, who dash past Alison Hammond on scooters to deliver the baton safely to the Loose Women in the studio next door.

Schofe on the Loose: This Morning presenters hand the baton over to the Loose Women team.

We couldn’t help but notice that the lovely Ruth Langsford wasn’t in the clip with the other Loose Women, when Schoffy handed over the baton.

Lorraine will be on from 9am before a super-sized This Morning starts at 10am, 30 minutes earlier, finishing at 12.30pm.

Loose Women then airs from 12.30pm to 1.30pm. It will conclude seven-and-a-half hours of uninterrupted live TV, all filmed at the Television Centre, White City – an unprecedented amount of live daytime content every week day, ITV said.
