Stunning Land Rover Defender campaign takes us ‘Above & Beyond’

Land Rover, together with agencies Spark44 and Accenture Interactive, has created an all-action campaign for The New Defender. 

The campaign showcases Defender’s stunning modern design and demonstrates why it’s the most capable Land Rover ever made.

A high octane cinematic treat, the film has been viewed more than 33,000 times since being posted to the brand’s YouTube channel on Thursday.

The global TV, social, online and print campaign brings to life the fictional island of ‘Above & Beyond’, a wild and rugged land where only Land Rovers exist. 

Defenders roam free and day-to-day driving situations are treated to the classic Land Rover twist.

Traffic lights, car washes, speed cameras and car parks pop up in some very surprising locations, but the highly desirable, all-capable Defender takes them all in its stride.

Creative Directors Matt Statham and Chris McDonald said: “The New Defender is in a category of one. And not just for its unique, unmistakeable design.

“When you’re driving the Defender you can call on its incredible tech and capability wherever you find yourself.”

Land Rover shot the footage in Morocco using several Defender models and accessories.

The crew made the vehicles perform various ordinary ‘day to day’ activities – but in a truly extraordinary fashion.

Although a global campaign, the UK is the first market to go live with the new campaign.
