Radiocentre is expanding its Tuning In events to host a series of sector-focused virtual conferences.
The virtual events will cover the Automotive, Finance, Retail and Travel sectors over the course of a month.
Tuning In specials
The new series will be free to attend and kicks off on Tuesday 30 June with Tuning In: Automotive, with car brands, dealerships, media agencies and everyone in between invited to learn more about how radio can drive sales and promote brands to a wide audience at a time when listeners are starting to consider purchasing again.
Lasting approximately an hour each, the webinars will share some content.
Speakers such as Global’s Creative Director, Jo McCrostie, will deliver sessions at the event. McCrostie’s will focus on creative tone and the speed with which a radio ad can go from brief to broadcast.
Industry experts from the relevant sectors will also appear, the commercial radio industry body said.
Marketing consultant Chris Hawken will introduce the Tuning In: Automotive session. Hawken has over thirty years’ experience in the car market having worked with Skoda, Vauxhall, Hyundai, Renault, Audi and more.
Industry guidance
Other sessions will focus this year’s FCA-confirmed industry guidance on terms and conditions, and on relevant category research from Radiocentre.
More speakers for each of the events will be announced shortly, with all info available via the Radiocentre website.
“With commercial radio’s reach at a record high, we want to show different industries how we can help”, Siobhan Kenny, Radiocentre CEO, said.
“As lockdown relaxes and life starts to look more normal, we want to give them support and know-how to get back to business and use radio to its fullest potential.”
The sector-specific Tuning In events follows last month’s Tuning In Livestream. This was a full morning conference that saw 1,000 virtual attendees hear from speakers including Geoff de Burca, Chief Strategy Officer at MediaCom, and Magic Breakfast’s Ronan Keating and Harriet Scott.
The Tuning In: Industry events are free to attend and registration is open now for all four.
