Created and delivered on 2 November from Pizza Hut Delivery’s Walton Vale Liverpool store, owned and operated by Gotham Newco 2, which is part of the Starboard dining Group, the mammoth creation boasted toppings including pepperoni, ham and mushroom, chicken, sausage and sweetcorn and was cooked with a custom-made pizza oven tray.
Once leaving the kitchen, the pizza had used 2.3 Kilos of dough, 1 Kilo of cheese and 1 pint of tomato and once combined with its toppings, weighed over 3kg.
Kairos Media support
Supported by global social-first creative agency, Kairos Media, Pizza Hut Delivery has been working on the logistics for the pizza for almost two months, with a bespoke box and delivery bag also created alongside the custom-made oven tray.
In support of the unique creation, Kairos also sent their content and video team to capture the event and distribute across social media.
Commenting on its latest creation, Nicola Keane, Senior Digital Brand Manager at Pizza Hut UK, said: “A few short weeks ago, we landed on the gaming scene with a bang.
Within days we had our very first challenge from the community (a 6ft 5” pizza, no less!) and if there is one thing we’re known for, it’s delivering, no matter what.
“We jumped at the chance to deliver the biggest ever Pizza Hut pizza ever made in the UK, establishing our cred once again with this new important audience.”
