Fictional character Peter Beale set to return to Eastenders in his seventh incarnation, played by rising star Dayle Hudson.
The fictional son of character Ian Beale famously left ‘the Square’ for Australia in the wake of the explosive storyline surrounding murder of his sister, Lucy Beale.
In a post on its Twitter feed, the popular soap wrote: “Peter Beale is returning to Walford after five years away, with Dayle Hudson set to take on the role.
“What’s bringing him back to The Square, and all the bad memories?”

Ben Hardy was the last actor to play the young Beale and is currently following a thriving career in Hollywood, having appeared in monster Queen hit Bohemian Rhapsody as Roger Taylor and alongside Ryan Reynoulds in Netflix high-octane caper 6 Underground.
There’s no more detail on what will befall young Beale on his return from Australia, but as we all know, Eastenders writers are a brutal and unforgiving bunch, so it’s likely to be a roller-coaster ride, and one we will be watching.
