Global streaming service Netflix said its service is now back up and running after a mysterious outage left millions of customers unable to access the service.
The outage started in the early afternoon UK time and was said to affect users across the UK and in the US as well.
DownDetector, which monitors service levels for digital businesses such as Netflix recorded the downtime as having started at 13.56.
No reason has been given for the crash, however, on its UK Twitter feed the company said: “For anyone having issues, we’re sorry for the inconvenience and are working to fix this as quickly as possible.”
