MediaVision adds Strategy Director to accelerate growth


MediaVision, the award-winning search performance agency redefining SEO has today announced the appointment of Charlotte Wigley as its new Strategy Director.

Wigley’s remit is to help grow MediaVision’s proprietary Metis platform offering – which allows client brands to respond to consumer trends four times faster than leading competitors, through demand-led insight.

Wigley brings with her a wealth of experience in strategic planning and management, having previously held senior positions at fashion retailer Hobbs (where she first worked with MediaVision CEO Louis Venter) and high street favourite Costa Coffee.

Her responsibilities included the day-to-day running of e-commerce teams, site re-brands, country expansions, hitting digital growth KPIs and constantly improving user experience.

At Costa, Wigley was brought on board for the strategic positioning and implementation of a D2C e-commerce channel which became a wider global role, focusing on web and social media strategy, performance marketing and the global/local representation of the brand digitally.

Agency experience before she moved into ecommerce management client-side saw Charlotte working on brands including Royal Mail Group, Moneysupermarket, Accor Hotels, Dune, Radley and Fitflop.

Since leaving Costa in 2018, Wigley has carved out a role as a respected freelance strategist, working with large retail brands and SMEs to deliver strategic reviews across digital trade, performance marketing, analytics and digital transformation.

In 2019, she worked with Homebase as part of a longer term contract to run the digital trading team, where she was responsible for digital strategy, trading and optimisation.

Her time at the retailer, coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic DIY boom and huge digital change for the business.
