As part of the agreement, Pilot acquires a 25% stake in Making Science Germany, transferring its search engine marketing business to further its growth.

This transfer will consolidate a specialised and technologically advanced service, significantly expanding Pilot’s ability to offer data-driven performance solutions, artificial intelligence, and cutting-edge analytics.

Pilot’s clients will also have access to a broader range of services, including data engineering, measurement, and technologies developed by one of Google’s leading global partners.

The alliance strengthens Making Science’s position as a leading global provider of technology and AI applied to marketing, a key step in its international expansion strategy.

Through this collaboration, the company significantly expands its reach in Europe, showcasing its technological capabilities to an ever-expanding client base.

“This strategic joint venture with Pilot in Germany marks a significant step in Making Science’s global expansion and reinforces our commitment to providing cutting-edge technology and expertise in AI applied to marketing,” said José Antonio Martínez Aguilar, Founder and Global CEO of Making Science.

“By combining our strengths, we are creating a powerful force to achieve exceptional results for Pilot’s clients, while also increasing our expertise in one of Europe’s largest advertising markets, with over $27 million in investment by 2024.”

The new entity integrates Pilot’s media expertise and deep knowledge of the German market with Making Science’s broad technological offering, based on artificial intelligence and advanced data analysis tools.

Starting July 1, 2025, Pilot will outsource its search marketing practice to this new company, enabling it to offer a comprehensive, synergistic, and highly specialised service to its clients.

“With state-of-the-art tools and close proximity to digital platforms, Making Science is the ideal marketing partner for us: as Pilot, we bring our market expertise and the means to deliver the best possible client service,” said Kristian Meinken, CEO of the Pilot agency group, about the new joint venture with Making Science Germany.

“Through Local Planet, we have come to know and appreciate each other for several years, and our ‘Pilot Ignite’ brandformance offering, which we launched two years ago, will continue unchanged.”

This agreement will also be a catalyst for the development of new solutions that integrate brandformance, technology, and strategy, combining the capabilities of both companies and fostering continuous innovation.

“At Making Science, we are always focused on providing our clients with the best possible tools and expertise”, said Nick Waters, CEO for the UK, Northern and Central Europe at Making Science.

“This joint venture with Pilot in Germany will provide Pilot clients with direct access to our technology, adtech, and martech solutions.”
