Jon Ronson’s ‘Things Fell Apart,’ produced by BBC Studios Audio for BBC Radio 4 and BBC Sounds, will return next year.
In Season 1, released in 2021, Ronson scoured history to unearth the origins of the culture wars through a series of stories. In Season 2, released in 2024, he uncovered eight more thought-provoking and often darkly funny stories about the new battle lines in the culture wars which snowballed during lockdown.
Season 3
In Season 3 of BBC Radio 4’s ‘Things Fell Apart,’ Ronson will tell eight extraordinary and all too human stories about the moment one person decides to stop accepting the world as it is; stories about what happens when someone attempts to spark that hardest thing – a shift in power.
Stories that often have unexpected – and sometimes terrible – consequences.
Ronson said: “I’m thrilled to be bringing out a new season of Things Fell Apart.
“I think we’ve managed to find some extraordinary stories about what happens when an individual takes on a Goliath – a powerful institution or hierarchy or belief system.
“How do these things go right, or wrong? How does a shift in power happen? And how do the institutions snap back?
“These are nuanced, unfolding human stories, with twists and turns, like mini movies. As always, the BBC have been a joy to work with.”

Season 3 of Things Fell Apart will be available on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Sounds at the beginning of 2027.
