Global marketing agency IMA has dived into the huge and controversial issues around artificial intelligence in the latest instalment of its no-nonsense podcast ‘Real Talk’.

This edition highlights the progress and problems relating to AI, with guests James Hall, founder of Parallax and Jack Sails, Associate Director of Tech at IMA.

Real Talk and AI

Hosted by Chief Executive Partner of IMA Nickii Gray and Alex Uprichard, IMA Managing Director, the episode covers what AI should be used for, what its capabilities are now, and how prompts work with AI chatbots.

The discussion ranges widely around the roles that humans play in the use of AI, how AI can enhance roles rather than replace and the value that agencies will have in years to come.

It said that the marketing industry needs a dose of reality. “Too often, brands and agencies talk in ways that bear no relation to real life,” IMA wrote in a news release.

It continued: “To be truly authentic, we need to look past the hype and half-truths. More honesty. More truth. Less hyperbole. Less hubris. That’s why IMA, released this new straight-talking podcast, Real Talk.

The podcast is for brand leaders, marketers, and agency folk who want thought-provoking, straight-talking conversation. IMA said viewers should expect episodes of its podcast to be conversational, punchy and pacy.

Other episodes of the podcast feature  a brilliant roster of guests including IPA lead Josh Krichefski, ITV’s Business Director Jason Spencer and Pregnant Then Screwed’s Lauren Fabianski.

Alex and Nickii are also joined by an IMA expert or two, who bring their depth and breadth of experience to each episode.

Real Talk is available to subscribe to on Spotify and all other major podcast platforms.

The second episode is available this week and the following episodes will be released bi-weekly.
