Jain will spearhead AI innovation at ustwo. He will develop the company’s AI strategy and lend his specialisation in healthcare to support ustwo’s ongoing work in health, financial services, technology and consumer products, working across all clients including Google, BMW Group, and BlackRock.

He reports to ustwo’s Group Managing Director Nicki Sprinz and starts in April.

A multi-award-winning serial tech entrepreneur, Jain has co-founded several health tech start-ups and created market-leading products that have disrupted the way care is delivered.

Heartbeat Health, which Jain co-founded in 2017, analyses data to deliver same-day cardiac recommendations. He has run the company as founder, CTO, and most recently EVP Solutions for over six years.

He also co-founded Leo Health, a concierge paediatrics company, and was the founding engineer at Rally Health, which was later acquired by United Healthcare.

Jain’s awards include first place at the 2012 Health 2.0 World Developer Cup in San Francisco for creating a Twitter bot for emerging health.

He was a Presidential Innovation Fellow at the White House under President Obama from 2013-14 and was named a top healthcare innovator in 2015 by MedTech Boston in its 40 under 40 list.

Sprinz said: “Nayan Jain is a leader in AI innovation and health tech and we are thrilled that we’ll be working together.

“AI is more than just a tool for efficiency, it is a catalyst for innovation and disruptive thinking and is key to creating breakthrough experiences that will drive success for our clients.

“Nayan’s experience in health tech, his entrepreneurial spirit and his passion for experimentation will help us solve what’s next for our clients and give them an edge over their markets.”

Commenting on his appointment, Jain said: “It takes a deeply creative and talented team to innovate despite the hype. With the studio’s commitment to and continued investment in AI, there is space to influence how products will evolve and to define what that means for our clients.

“With the current rate of progress, I am mindful to help the team stay far ahead and commit to building AI in novel and responsible ways starting with generative text use cases, quickly expanding to multi-modal. I am grateful to be a part of a company that works at the edges and embraces pushing boundaries.

“We are in this unique moment of time where AI will change how we all live and work. It is wonderful to see ustwo leading the conversation.”
