Energy firm EDF has consolidated its UK brand creative and media accounts into Havas UK through its King’s Cross Village.
EDF brand win
The appointment was made without a pitch, the agency confirmed.
Havas London will become EDF’s lead strategic and creative agency; and Arena Media, part of the Havas Media Group, takes responsibility for brand media planning and buying; in addition, to its existing corporate remit.
“EDF is a unique brand, delivering critical services to diverse stakeholders, from our residential customers, through to big business investors, small businesses and government decision-makers”, Di Bowden, Head of Brand and Marketing at EDF, said.
Uncertain times
“At a time of such uncertainty, we want our stakeholders to feel reassured that EDF remains dedicated to generating low-carbon power and maintaining support to its customers.
“Our partnership with Havas will leverage their broad experience to help share our unique brand messaging as widely as possible.”
Vicki Maguire, Chief Creative Officer at Havas London, adds: “To go and win a brand as big as EDF a few months into my new gig is pretty special.
“There’s a compelling, relevant, urgent story here, which we can’t wait to tell.”
Stephanie Marks, Managing Director at Havas Media Group: “It’s a pleasure to extend our relationship with EDF; given the essential role the brand plays across the country, we’re looking forward to working together to open up new ways for them to engage with consumers.
“We’re proud to be part of this partnership.”
