DLMDD brings Beatles magic to Amazon’s holiday campaign

DLMDD, the creative sound branding agency, has worked with Amazon to produce a heart-warming cover version of The Beatles track “In My Life” for the retailer’s holiday campaign.

Launching today, the campaign film, titled Joyride, features an emotive, orchestral arrangement of one of John Lennon’s most personal songs “In My Life”.

The arrangement was created by Spanish Neo-Classical artist Nico Casal and was recorded in Madrid, Prague and London.

Despite being something of a deeper cut: “In My Life” was named by Mojo as the best song of all time in 2000, while Rolling Stone magazine ranked it number 23 on its 2004 list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, as well as fifth on its list of the Beatles’ 100 Greatest Songs.

Moreover, an interview in 1980, John Lennon referred to “In My Life” as his “first real major piece of work” because it was the first time he had written about his own life.
