Independent design consultancy JDO said its client business director Philip Stevenson has been promoted to the role of managing director for London.
The appointment reflects an extended period of growth for the award-winning international creative agency with offices in Tunbridge Wells, London and New York.
Stevenson, who prior to JDO held senior positions at Blue Marlin and Interbrand will commence the role with immediate effect.
“I’m delighted to be heading up JDO’s London office at such an exciting and dynamic time for the industry” said Stevenson.
“The discipline divisions have come down and both consumer and client mindsets have changed the way brand design agencies need to engage.
“Agility and ambition is critical for our clients who are engaging us to solve an ever widening array of brand design problems”.
Working with a number of global brands including Pond’s, Shell, Pepsi and Dove, JDO has built an enviable reputation for delivering world-class strategic creativity with the belief that exceptional design has the power to change how people think and feel and what they believe.
“Our London studio is an inspirational new creative space – it is pivotal to our strategic growth plan and Philip is the ideal guy to lead the London team,” said Fiona Florence, md, JDO Group.
“A brand man through and through, he is a natural leader and communicator, with an inherent understanding of JDO’s guiding ethos: ‘We create belief’”.
Stevenson will report directly to the JDO exec board headed up by founding partner Paul Drake and principal and group creative director, Ben Oates.
