Global production and marketing services company, Chimney Vigor Group (CVG), has rebranded to Edisen, ‘the unskippable content company’.

This strategic move allows the Oscar and Lion award-winning business, which boasts an enviable client list, to expand its capabilities to include enhanced creation and automation that offers clients genuine 360-degree services and strengthens the creative hallmark the company was built on by delivering high-quality, premium content.

It also marks a shift in the company’s approach to market, creating a single global management and financial structure.

Edisen in Soho

As part of this strategic rebrand and shift towards a more holistic service offering for its international clients, Edisen is opening a new UK office in Soho, London led by Nick Price, Global VP of Platform Operations & MD (UK).

Price was previously Head of Content at AMV BBDO in London where he founded BBDO’S global in-house content network Flare, and subsequently created and launched its tech platform Flare Studio.

In his role at Edisen, he will lead the UK whilst also taking on the global role of running platform operations.

The Edisen platform is a foundation for further tech developments which will specifically aim to solve the many pain points brands experience in today’s content heavy market.

It offers brands capabilities, from creative collaboration to sophisticated vendor sourcing, automated adaptation and production collaboration tools to create bold, consistent and engaging content that work harder for brands without compromising on quality, anywhere in the world.

“This rebrand represents a new dawn for our business and the services we offer our clients,” said Edisen Global CEO Henric Larsson.

“Our mission is to ideate, develop and produce content that is impossible to ignore. Technology enhances and empowers the creativity that is at the forefront of our business.

“Given our recent acquisitions and the development of our own technology, it’s only fitting that we name the new company after that which enables us to deliver the most impactful content for our clients.”

The Edisen offering is built on three key pillars: creativity to mesmerise, cloud technology to organise, and AI to optimise.

Solving industry issues

Under the Edisen umbrella, the company’s technologies are helping to solve major industry issues like wasted time in the creative production process and delivering quality content helping to break through consumer fatigue.

“Within Edisen, we have a team with vast experience from all sides of the industry. In all our conversations with brands, the same issues around the complexity of the production process were consistently raised as needing a solution”, said Nick Price, Global VP of Platform Operations & MD (UK).

“Issues that more traditional models were singularly failing to address. Edisen is focused on solving these in a way that has been missing to date. It is a platform built by the industry for the industry.”

For nearly 25 years, Chimney has been a go-to for the world’s most recognised brands, crafting award-winning stories and campaigns and receiving recognition from the Academy (Oscars), BAFTA, Cannes Lions, Palme d’Or, Sundance, Berlinale, and PromaxBDA.

The rebrand to Edisen is a result of this continued growth and success, which has been fuelled by a robust acquisition and innovation strategy.

In 2019, the company merged with media management specialists One Vigor to become CVG, completing its remit to offer clients end-to-end marketing services, from concept right through to distribution.

In June 2021, the company acquired Tonik+, a revolutionary new platform powered by video intelligence technology that identifies and analyses video content scene by scene before automatically repurposing it and serving it back into the market, improving viewer ratings by up to 50%.
