Body Coach Joe Wicks launches new fitness app by ustwo

Joe Wicks, The Body Coach star, has launched a brand new fitness app based on his iconic 90-day plan that aims to transform the way people think about their fitness and build healthy habits for life.

Included in the app is a ‘Lives’ feature where people can join Joe for an exclusive live Bootcamp starting in January 2021.

The entire digital product was created by London digital studio, ustwo, in conjunction with Wicks and his vast community of fans.

It has been tested by the fans and modified based on their feedback all the way through the process, the company said.

Joe Wicks

Wicks became a national hero during lockdown thanks to his daily ‘PE With Joe’ classes for kids and families on YouTube – which received over 80 million views.

He followed this with a 24 Hour PE Challenge for Children in Need where he did everything from cycling and boxing to yoga and rowing to keep moving and raised over £2.5 million for the charity.

The new Body Coach fitness app, created in collaboration with digital product studio ustwo, has been in development for over a year.

“This is the next chapter for the Body Coach”, said Wicks. “My mission has always been to inspire people to get fitter, healthier and happier and I’m so excited to share this app with the world.

“After more than 600,000 clients on my 90 day plan, we have taken everything that I’ve learned about why people succeed at getting and staying fit and healthy, and put it all into this app.

Fitness dreams

“My dream is for it to help millions of people, no matter how fit you are, to smash your goals and feel amazing”.

Fitness and fun: Wicks’ new app will combine workouts with healthy eating.

The aim is to make sure that varied and fun workouts as well as a tasty and sustainable eating plan are all accessible and tailored to people’s specific needs, and give them the ability to choose the best way to a healthier life. It’s Joe Wicks in your pocket, tailored for every user.

The Body Coach app is created for all levels of fitness – and takes all the elements of the 90 Day Plan and lets users choose between vegan, vegetarian and meat-based eating plans.

Nicki Sprinz, managing director at ustwo, said: “We wanted to share the feeling you get from a training session with Joe. The 90 Day Plan is already well recognised and we wanted to move this to a digital space where it can really fly.

“We’re so pleased we were able to align with Joe’s values and create a business model that can scale to the countless users that will benefit and offer them that great post-workout feeling where you know whatever you put in, you’ll get back in buckets.”

The new Body Coach app is designed to feel like having Joe in your pocket, bursting with positivity, motivation and encouragement to keep going.
