BG’s Hive launches disco driveway EV charging campaign

British Gas has taken to the dance floor with its new campaign for electric vehicle home charging.

The UK utility provider is promoting its new Hive electric vehicle charging solution, showcasing how simple EV ownership can be with your own home charging solution.

Creative for the campaign was delivered by Team Nucleas, The&Partnership’s bespoke agency model for BG owner Centrica.

Hive and the electric drive

British Gas said the campaign hopes to encourage people to ‘electrify your driveway’ and shows in an eye-catching way how driveways and electric vehicles can come to life when you have a home charging solution.

The playful disco themed creative centres around the newly launched Hive EV Charging solution. 

Through the award-winning Hive app customers can schedule and monitor the charging of their electric vehicle and installation is provided by an expert British Gas engineer.

An unassuming driveway is turned in to a brightly coloured dance floor as an electric car (featuring a new Vauxhall Mokka-e) is plugged into the Hive EV Charging point. 

A mix of 6” and 15” social and digital videos bring to life the full range of benefits, including cheaper overnight charging, scheduling a charge direct from your phone and expert British Gas installation.
