Flip-flop brand Havaianas is celebrating LGBT+ month with a new Pride collection featuring its famous footwear and accessories inspired by its core values: freedom, joy and colour.
Havaianas is pushing its roots as a democratic brand, a symbol of equality and optimism.
Since its beginnings it was created as a product that is at the feet of every Brazilian, regardless of their social position, a much-loved footwear choice for everyone.
Havaianas at 60
Today, almost 60 years after its creation, the brand is well known for bringing the world a little more colour, one pair at the time.
It only made sense to launch a collection to celebrate not only everything that it stands for, but that it also celebrates and supports, all kinds of love.
Last Summer, the Brazilian footwear brand released its first rainbow range of flip flops, encouraging conversation, social inclusion and empowerment for LGBTQIA+ youth through a charity initiative.
For each Havaianas Pride collection product sold, 7% of the proceeds of sales will be donated to the All Out movement, in a financial commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community.
Thanks to those proceeds, All Out has been able to carry out actions to support the LGBT+ community in countries like Brazil, Poland, Venezuela, Mexico, Germany and Lebanon.
Created in 1962 Havaianas have been bringing Brazilian spirit all around the world through the legendary rubber sole and bright joyful designs.
Havaianas represents comfort, happiness and freedom in the most simple and spontaneous form for everyone’s feet.
This year the collection has grown and features five flip flop models, a sparkly mini bag, keyring and socks that will be available Havaianas online and in its own stores in June.
All Out is a global movement for LGBTQ+ rights that mobilises thousands of people to build a world where no person will have to sacrifice their family or freedom, safety or dignity because of who they love.
